Do you love working with children?
Would you like to become an Apples at home educator?

Our educators are self-employed contractors who contract to Apples at Home Childcare. You can work hours that suit you and your family, having the opportunity to be at home with your own children while earning money.
Our educators are supported by our coordinators who are experienced, fully qualified and registered early childhood teachers.

Apples at home childcare supports an educator to work from their home caring for a maximum of four children under the age of five and two children under the age of two, including their own children.

At Apples we understand the importance of the support required when caring for young children.  Our coordinators offer ongoing guidance and we provide professional development on a regular basis.

Educators have medical clearance from their GP.

Educators have current police clearance (including any persons living in their home over seventeen years).

The New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum Te Whãriki is the guiding document for early childhood care and education; assessment, planning and learning stories.

Educators record children’s learning and development through learning stories and individual portfolios.

Educators and their children attend weekly playgroups. This provides opportunities to meet other educators, share ideas, skills and develop supportive networks.

All educators are provided with Apples at home childcare policies and procedures, determined by the Ministry of Education to guide and promote the best practise.

At Apples at home childcare we understand the importance of the support required when caring for young children. Our coordinators offer ongoing support, guidance and professional development on a regular basis.
