Parents need to complete an enrolment form providing the necessary background information on each child. If any circumstances change please do advise us so as we can keep the information up to date.
Fees are paid, as per the Fee Schedule, weekly in advance by direct debit authority on the Friday of each week. They are paid for 52 weeks per year including public holidays, illnesses or any other event. A 10% discount is offered for two or more children from one family attending. A late fee will be charged if you pick your child up after the agreed time. Please do try and be on time as we must adhere to staffing ratios.
Arrival & Departure
To ensure children’s safety it is essential that you bring your child into the centre each day, sign them in and then leave them in the care of a teacher. At the end of the day, upon your child’s departure, it is essential that you sign them out. These are Ministry of Education requirements and also assist us in the event of an emergency.
We have a firm sickness policy to ensure the health and well-being of the children and teachers. You must keep your child at home if they have a high temperature, inflamed throat or eyes, upset stomach, diarrhoea within the past 24 hours or an unidentified rash. Teachers follow the recommended Department of Health policies and if your child becomes sick during the day we will notify you. In the event of an emergency, we will seek medical advice immediately. We will always act in the child’s best interests.
If your child requires medication please hand it to a staff member and sign it into the medication book daily. No medication will be given unless it is written into the book. Asthma and other forms of regular medication must also be signed for.
To ensure the safety of the children in our care we require you to provide us with a copy of your child’s immunisation records upon enrollment.
Each child is unique in their sleeping routine, therefore please talk with teachers so as we can aim to follow individual routines. All children are provided with their own sleeping space and bed linen.
Each child has their own portfolio which includes individual development plans, observations and assessments. They are rich in information and photos and showcase each child’s journey.
In the event of an emergency, we are prepared and our teachers are fully trained. We will make every effort to contact parents/person nominated as contacts for your child. Civil Defence headquarters have been notified of the Centre and we would receive priority attention. Fire drills are practised regularly and emergency supplies are held on site.
We believe it is very important to develop and maintain open communication between parents and staff; therefore please do talk with the teachers and read the notice board to keep informed. Parents input is highly valued and we want you to feel comfortable to share your views with us so as we can work together to provide the best for your child.
